Few, if any, campus-based educational software development groups possess the technical and financial resources required to produce the quantity and quality of Web-based computer-mediated instructional (CMI) materials required to affect the collegiate teaching and learning enterprise in any substantial fashion. The Workshop seeks to overcome this problem by fostering "communities of practice" where faculty, educational technologists and other Campus Partner representatives can work together to identify the best strategies for developing Web-based CMI materials.
