Learning Conductor: Mathematics is a suite of Internet-based technologies designed by the Workshop to foster assessment-guided learning in mathematics. The system can be used by schools or individual classroom teachers. It can also be used by students on their own, or with assistance from family members or tutors.
Learning Conductor, the Distributed Learning Workshop’s flagship product, is an Internet-based instructional system that offers an assessment-guided approach to learning mathematics. Instead of “teaching to the test,” Learning Conductor’s groundbreaking technologies transform items from standardized and other exams into powerful tools for learning and teaching. The system is designed to build students’ confidence in their own abilities as mathematics learners, by fostering a deep and lasting understanding of the curriculum. It is through understanding and confidence that students’ performance improves—both in the classroom, and on standardized exams.
