The Learning Conductor software has these system requirements:
- Windows 98, Windows 2000, or Windows XP
- 500 MHz processor
- at least 64 to 128 MB of memory (depending on operating system and installed software)
- 24x CD-ROM drive
- 4 MB video RAM
- Sound Card
Your system should meet these requirements to run the Learning Conductor software. If your system does not meet the processor or memory requirements, you can still run the software, but will experience noticeable performance degradation. To install the Learning Conductor software, follow these steps:
- For best results, make sure you are connected to the internet before you begin.
- Insert the Learning Conductor CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
- Browse the contents of the CD-ROM by double-clicking on the icon for your CD-ROM drive (under "My Computer"). Then double-click the "Setup.exe" (or just "Setup") icon. This will launch the installer.
- The installation process takes several minutes. Sometimes the installer will wait for you to click "Next"; there may be other times when it looks as if the installer is not doing anything. Please be patient.

Soon after starting the installer, a dialog box pops up informing me that I cannot install the Learning Conductor because another version is already installed on my computer.
The current version of the Learning Conductor should give this message only if you have already installed the current version or a previous version. In this case, the installer will automatically remove the older installation for you and proceed with the new install.
If you are running Windows XP, please refer to the Windows XP document for further information on installing the Shockwave Player. |
